During my recent stay at Gumnut House in Whanganui, I found a balanced blend of value and comfort. Nestled a couple of kilometers from downtown, it offers a spacious private living area, complete with a cozy bedroom and bathroom-a rare find for the price. The thoughtful touches, like plenty of tea and coffee options, and the homemade biscuits, enhance the experience without adding extra cost. Breakfast was included and exquisitely laid out, but it was the genuine hospitality from Maryann and Barry that stood out. Their attention to detail-like fresh flowers and ample towels-adds a personal touch that elevates your stay. While slightly outside the city, the scenic 30-minute walk to local eateries is worth it. Considering the amenities and personal service, Gumnut House is a wise choice for travelers seeking comfort without breaking the bank.
